4. Service Agreement
4.1 Quotations
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change based on:
- Changes in material costs
- Regulatory changes affecting installation requirements
- Site-specific conditions discovered during assessment
- Customer-requested modifications to the original specification
4.2 Installation Process
Our installation process includes:
- Initial site survey and assessment
- Detailed system design and planning
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals
- Professional installation by certified technicians
- System commissioning and testing
- Customer training and handover
4.3 Timeline
Installation timelines are estimates based on normal conditions. Delays may occur due to:
- Weather conditions
- Planning permission delays
- Equipment availability
- Unforeseen site conditions
- Customer rescheduling requests
5. Customer Obligations
Customers must:
- Provide accurate property and contact information
- Ensure safe access to installation areas
- Obtain any required landlord permissions
- Make payment according to agreed terms
- Be present or provide authorized representative during installation
- Comply with system operating instructions
- Report any issues promptly
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Payment Schedule
Standard payment terms:
- Deposit: 20% upon contract signing
- Progress payment: 50% upon delivery of equipment
- Final payment: 30% upon completion and commissioning
6.2 Payment Methods
We accept:
- Bank transfer (BACS)
- Credit/debit cards
- Finance arrangements through approved partners
- Government grant assignments
6.3 Late Payment
Late payment charges of 1.5% per month may apply to overdue amounts. We reserve the right to suspend work until payment is received.
7. Warranties and Guarantees
7.1 Installation Warranty
We provide a 2-year warranty on installation workmanship covering:
- Defects in installation quality
- Component failures due to poor installation
- System performance issues related to installation
7.2 Equipment Warranties
Equipment warranties are provided by manufacturers:
- Solar panels: Typically 20-25 years performance warranty
- Inverters: Usually 5-10 years manufacturer warranty
- Heat pumps: Generally 5-7 years parts and labour
- Batteries: Typically 10 years or specified cycle count
7.3 Warranty Exclusions
Warranties do not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse or negligence
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from extreme weather events
- Modifications by unauthorized personnel
- Failure to follow maintenance requirements
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to:
- Direct costs of repair or replacement of defective work
- Maximum liability not exceeding the contract value
- No liability for consequential or indirect losses
- No liability for loss of earnings or business interruption
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters
- Government actions or regulations
- Pandemic restrictions
- Supply chain disruptions
- Industrial action
10. Cancellation and Refunds
10.1 Cooling-off Period
For contracts signed at customer's home, you have 14 days to cancel without reason. Cancellation must be in writing.
10.2 Cancellation by Customer
If you cancel after the cooling-off period:
- Before installation starts: 10% administration fee
- After installation starts: Costs incurred plus 15% of remaining work
- After completion: No refund available
10.3 Cancellation by Company
We may cancel contracts if:
- Customer breaches payment terms
- Site conditions make installation unsafe or impossible
- Planning permission is refused
- Customer fails to provide required access
11. Health and Safety
We are committed to maintaining high health and safety standards:
- All technicians are fully trained and certified
- We carry comprehensive public liability insurance
- Risk assessments are conducted for all installations
- All work complies with relevant safety regulations
- Customers must not interfere with ongoing installation work
12. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements. Customer data is used only for:
- Providing contracted services
- Legal and regulatory compliance
- Legitimate business interests
- Marketing communications (with consent)
13. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in our designs, documents, and systems remain our property. Customers may not:
- Copy or reproduce our designs
- Share technical specifications with third parties
- Use our trademarks or branding
- Reverse engineer our systems
14. Complaints Procedure
If you have concerns about our service:
- Contact your project manager directly
- Escalate to our customer service team
- Request management review if unresolved
- Contact industry ombudsman if necessary

Any legal proceedings will be subject to English law and the jurisdiction of English courts.

These Terms, together with our quotation and any signed contract, constitute the entire agreement between the parties. No verbal agreements or promises are binding unless confirmed in writing.

21. Severability
